Privacy policy for the amliré app

The amliré app is a dedicated TV player. It is installed on televisions, set-top boxes and similar devices owned or managed by an organisation (for example a school, hospital or office), and it displays content that the organisation's administrators have chosen to show. This policy explains what information the app handles and why.

Who is responsible

The app is published by Amlire Private Limited, a company registered in Kerala, India. Contact details are at the end of this policy.

What the app is not

The app is not intended for personal use by members of the public and does not offer viewers any way to create an account, enter personal details, or interact with it. People who see a screen running amliré are not users of the app and no information about them is collected.

Information the app handles

To pair a device with an organisation's account and keep it showing the right content, the app handles the following:

• Device information — a unique identifier for the device, device model, operating system version, screen resolution, and the app version installed. This lets administrators see which screens are online and send content to the correct ones.
• Network information — the device's IP address and connection status, used to deliver content and to show administrators whether a screen is reachable.
• Pairing details — the pairing code or credentials that link the device to an organisation's account.
• Operational logs — records of when content was downloaded and played, and error reports, used to diagnose problems and confirm that scheduled content ran.

The app does not access the device's contacts, location, camera, microphone, or files outside its own storage, and does not collect information about individual people.

How information is used

• To deliver the content an organisation has scheduled to its screens.
• To show administrators the status of their screens.
• To diagnose faults and improve reliability.
• To meet legal obligations, where applicable.

Information is not used for advertising and is not sold.

Who information is shared with

The amliré platform is operated on infrastructure and software provided by a technology partner that hosts the content management service on our behalf. That partner processes device and operational data only to provide the service to us and is bound by contract to protect it. Beyond this, information is shared only with the organisation that manages the device, or where required by law.

How long information is kept

Device and operational records are kept for as long as the device remains paired with an organisation's account, and for a limited period afterwards to support troubleshooting, after which they are deleted or anonymised.

Security

Communication between the app and the platform is encrypted in transit. Access to administrative systems is restricted to authorised staff.

Children

The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone. It may be installed on screens in schools, but it displays content only; it does not collect information about students or anyone else who views a screen.

Your rights and choices

Organisations that manage devices can remove a device from their account at any time, which stops the app from sending further information. Questions or requests about information handled by the app can be sent to the contact below.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address with a new "last updated" date.
